Minimum age of 13
Accounts and features intended for registered users require a minimum age of 13.
These terms explain the responsibilities of a parent or legal guardian when authorizing and supervising an adolescent's use of SpotSB, including privacy, safety, location, and content sharing.
SpotSB is operated by SpotSB Co., registered in Brazil under CNPJ No. 00.000.000/0001-03, with its registered address at Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
These terms govern the authorization and supervision of an adolescent's use of SpotSB. They supplement the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and data protection documents made available by the platform.
SpotSB sets a minimum age of 13 for accounts and features intended for registered users. People under the age of 13 must not create or use an account unless SpotSB introduces a specific experience that is permitted by law and supervised by a legal guardian.
Authorization must be provided by a parent, legal guardian, or another person with valid legal responsibility for the adolescent. By providing authorization, you represent that you are an adult, have legal capacity, and are authorized to make decisions on behalf of the minor.
Every decision concerning data processing and platform use must consider the best interests of the adolescent. Guardian authorization does not permit practices that conflict with fundamental rights, safety, dignity, privacy, or healthy development.
Before authorizing use, the guardian should understand the available features, the data processed, the privacy settings, and the risks related to sharing content and location. Authorization must be freely given, informed, specific, and may be withdrawn where applicable.
The guardian must provide accurate and up-to-date information during authorization and identity verification. It is prohibited to falsely claim to be a legal guardian or to use another person's information without authorization.
The guardian should guide the adolescent on safe account use, password protection, interactions with others, and content sharing. When supervision tools become available, they should be used proportionately and respectfully, taking the adolescent's evolving autonomy into account.
SpotSB may allow users to view maps, register spots, and, in the future, use check-ins or location features. The guardian should instruct the adolescent not to disclose their home, school, routine, frequent travel routes, or real-time location when doing so could create a safety risk.
The guardian should instruct the adolescent to share only photographs, videos, text, and information they have the right to publish. Content must not expose identity documents, sensitive data, vehicle license plates, residential addresses, or images of other people without appropriate authorization.
Registering a spot does not authorize trespassing, entry onto private property, property damage, or disclosure of locations where publicity could create a risk. The guardian should instruct the adolescent to respect local rules, access restrictions, and legitimate removal requests.
SpotSB provides community information and does not supervise sessions, events, travel, or the physical condition of locations. The guardian should assess the adolescent's age and experience, obstacles, surfaces, traffic, lighting, weather, and other risks, and should encourage the use of appropriate protective equipment.
The adolescent must follow community rules and must not engage in harassment, discrimination, bullying, exploitation, fraud, or any unlawful conduct. The guardian should instruct the minor to block inappropriate interactions and report risky situations through the available reporting channels.
The guardian should explain the risks associated with private conversations, invitations, in-person meetings, requests for images, external links, and requests for personal information from strangers. Suspicious interactions should be ended and reported immediately.
If SpotSB offers subscriptions, purchases, or other paid features in the future, the adolescent may use them only with guardian authorization and according to the rules presented at the time of purchase. The availability of these terms does not mean that paid features are currently active.
The guardian may request information about the adolescent's data, exercise applicable rights, and request correction, blocking, or deletion where permitted by law. SpotSB may verify the requester's identity and legal authority before fulfilling a request.
The guardian may withdraw previously granted authorization through the channels provided by SpotSB. Withdrawal may restrict or terminate the adolescent's access to certain features without invalidating processing lawfully carried out before the request.
SpotSB may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or retain records when it identifies a risk to an adolescent, a violation of the rules, suspected fraud, or a need to comply with a legal obligation. Competent authorities may be notified in serious situations.
Guardian involvement should take the adolescent's age, maturity, and ability to understand into account. Supervision should provide protection without unnecessarily removing the adolescent's privacy, freedom of expression, or participation in skateboarding culture.
Nothing in these terms reduces the rights granted to children and adolescents under applicable law. Guardian authorization does not replace appropriate security measures, valid legal grounds for processing, or assessments of the adolescent's best interests.
We may update these terms due to legal, technical, or operational changes. When a change materially affects data processing or the conditions of an adolescent's participation, SpotSB may request renewed authorization.
These terms are interpreted under Brazilian law, particularly the rules concerning data protection, consumer protection, and the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
