Map first
Spots and cities organize the experience. Information, conditions, media and activity become more useful when they remain connected to where they happened.
SpotSB grows from decades of lived skateboarding. Before the code came the streets, sessions, spots, music, gatherings and a culture that turns urban space into expression and belonging. We are an independent, map-first platform built to document places, preserve stories and connect the people who make the scene happen.
Spots and cities organize the experience. Information, conditions, media and activity become more useful when they remain connected to where they happened.
Skaters, photographers, filmmakers, artists, crews, shops, brands, organizers and social projects help build the living memory of each local scene.
Privacy is not disappearing. It is having control over what to share, with whom and when to remain outside public exposure.
The road here runs through sessions, social projects, skate channels and reporting, large events, solidarity initiatives and earlier technology projects.
Across it all, one conviction remained: skateboarding is more than a sport or a competition. It is culture, a way of life, freedom, collective responsibility and a way to see the city and question established structures.
Our identity speaks to the heart of underground street skating from the 1990s and early 2000s: rough concrete, improvised lines, hip-hop, creativity, autonomy and people claiming space where they were not always represented.
The paths carved by Stevie Williams, Kareem Campbell and Harold Hunter are among our cultural references for authenticity, style, inclusion, resilience and belonging. They helped show how street skating can also be a tool for survival, community and cultural change.
What guides us
We bring the independent spirit of the streets into technology without giving up care, context or people’s right to choose.
Build independent paths, question structures and contribute to culture without waiting for permission.
Value real stories, local differences and content made by people who know each spot and scene.
Use technology to bring people together, preserve memory and make room for new generations.
Map without exposing people or sensitive places, respecting privacy, safety, context and individual choices.
Build useful digital infrastructure for skateboarding, connecting places, people, content and opportunities without turning the scene into just another product or generic feed.
SpotSB is not here to speak for every scene. It creates tools so each scene can document itself on its own terms, keeping places and local context at the center.
Culture in motion
This is the cycle that moves us: the streets inspire ideas, ideas become tools and those tools return to strengthen the people who keep the culture alive. The movement never ends. It begins again with every session.
Every day is skateboarding day.
